“The Riches”

Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver are two entertainers I like deeply. Izzard is indefinitely funny when he’s doing his standup, and even though his role in Ocean’s wasn’t that funny, it was a source of light in the film series. Eddie Izzard has this lovely way of rambling on about a subject, leave that subject all-together, but still remain interesting. Driver is funny because she’s Minnie Driver. Is there really anything more you want? Her guest role as Lorraine Finster on “Will & Grace” remains one of my favorite characters in prime-time television ever. It worked because it wasn’t so much Lorraine Finster, it was Minnie Driver.

Now, nobody told me those two were starring, together, in a new television series on FX. Thank you for that, you’re a real help to me, world! Freaking idiots… Anyway, they are! It’s not really new anymore when the pilot aired over a year ago, but to me it is. I watched the first season — loved it. Though I’m not sure about all the casting choices of secondary characters, even though not every episode is using its full potential, it’s a lovely series that may not be original in its basic plot, but is original in the execution of it.

And on top of that, Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver! In one series! As a couple! Driver doesn’t even look that great in the pilot! Come to think of it, she doesn’t for the first few episodes! But I guess that’s the whole prison-thing! Izzard looked really slick though, right from the start of the pilot, especially weird considering he lived in a trailer back then! But who cares! Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver! Also very cool that they support their sons transvestite nature! Though I guess it would be weird for Izzard to play a character that didn’t! Anyway, it remains cool to see such a thing in television! Let’s hope we’ll be seeing more of that in the movies! I’m totally losing track here! … Izzard and Driver!

So, I stopped doing comments on my blog. Twitter, Facebook, and good-old e-mail do a much better job, in my experience and opinion.
